This is the MBC-55x mainboard. By comparison with the typical early IBM PC and clone motherboards, it is small and pretty non-standard! Something immediately noticeable is the lack of standard ISA expansion slots. Actually, at the bottom you can see a 62-pin connector which provides 48 of the 62 standard I/O expansion slot lines - this is for the purpose of connecting an optional external Sanyo MBC expansion box that has 8-bit ISA slots.

Here is the rear of the system unit, showing the replaceable power supply fuse, then on the right bottom we have a Centronics printer port (different from standard PC clones that use a 25-pin female D port on the computer side), then two video output options - RGB video out DIN socket (for connection to a monitor), and video out Composite (for connection to a TV), then finally the keyboard DIN socket. Along the top is the "Line" RS232C serial port, and blanking plates covering sockets for a joystick or paddle, and external expansion.
