CAUTION!: Commercial backup applications (ArcServe, BackupExec, Retrospect, etc.) require their own drivers to work correctly. The following driver, provided by Tandberg Data, is to be used only with an Operating Systems' built-in backup application. Once the following driver is installed, commercial backup applications will not work properly.

  • Install this driver only if specifically instructed to do so by your backup application's developer.
  • Removal of this driver, once installed, is extremely difficult.

About This Download

This self-extracting file contains the following files:

- mammoth2.sys: tape device driver file
- oemsetup.inf: driver installation file
- readme.txt: installation instructions

INSTALLATION

1.) Boot the machine to Windows NT.
2.) Run "Tape Devices" in the "Control Panel" folder under the "Settings" start menu.
3.) If the "Tape Devices" application automaticaly attempts to install any drivers cancel
their installation.
4.) Select the "drivers" tab in the "Tape Devices" window.
5.) Remove any previously installed Exabyte SCSI-2 tape drivers.
6.) Select "Add".
7.) Select "Have Disk".
8.) Enter the path to the OEMSETUP.INF files.
9.) When prompted to install the "Exabyte SCSI tape driver"
tape drives," click OK.
10.) Reboot the system to activate the driver if asked by the application.
