My List of Memory Chips/Modules
This page acts as an archive of all the memory chips and memory modules that exist in my collection. Not particularly a fun read for you, but it's useful for me to have this information online.
DRAMs
This includes DRAM ICs that are socketed on video cards in addition to those socketed on old XT and AT motherboards that pre-date the SIPP/SIMM era. No soldered-in chips are included here.

SRAMs (Cache Chips)
Usually used as L2 cache chips in 486 systems. It is best to keep the 'speed' rating of all your cache chips the same, and match them up to the same speed chip used for Tag RAM (if applicable). Ideally keep to the same manufacturer as well.
Make | Model | Qty | Information |

30-pin SIPP and SIMM Modules
Usually a SIPP or SIMM modules' branding is unknown, so we tend to rely on the manufacturer of the ICs on the module to identify them. The 'speed' ratings can be mixed on a motherboard where, when grouped together, will run at the speed of the slowest SIMM module.

72-pin SIMM Modules
Branding was more common on 72-pin SIMMs where often one of the ICs would have a label. We still tend to rely on the manufacturer of the ICs on the module to truly identify their capability. With 72-pin SIMMs came the introduction of the faster EDO RAM, so some modules will be the older [and slower] FPM RAM while others are EDO. Motherboards need to explicitly support EDO for these to work. The 'speed' ratings can be mixed on a motherboard where, when grouped together, will run at the speed of the slowest SIMM module and you cannot mix FPM and EDO (or can you, as long as a bank isn't mixed?).
